I debated back and forth for 3yrs on having the surgery. I went to Dr. Wadiwala in 2022 for a consultation and allowed all the naysayers to convince me out of the sleeve. I tried Ozempic and different weight loss meds to lose weight. Ozempic worked but, I stopped because I did not want to be depending on the injection for the rest of my life. Last year I set my finances up to be able to pay for the surgery. I decided in December I would go back for a consultation. On December 13th I got my date for surgery. Which was Jan.8th. I did not tell many people only immediate family. Dr. Wadiwala and the entire staff were very pleasant and generous when dealing with my questions and concerns. I had very little pain afterwards and I am now 1 month post op. I lost 27lbs my first month. The gastric sleeve is a life change and you have to be ready mentally for the changes. I would highly recommend Dr. Wadiwala. He is one of the best and very thorough.
